Redstone@Home in Fayette County out of our Uniontown Office is currently seeking a Home Health Aide/Health Information Coordinator for a Full Time, Day position in Hospice.  *** Up to $17/hour! ***

What will I do as an employee with Redstone?

As a Home Health Aide, supporting the Redstone mission will include the following responsibilities:

  • Care of clients in various settings while keeping them safe and comfortable during their activities of daily living
  • Care and services include, but are not limited to:  ADL assistance, mobility assistance, positioning assistance, assistance with meal preparation, laundry, light housekeeping, shopping, and companionship
  • Obtains and records temperature, blood pressure, pulse and respiration rates, and food and fluid intake and output, as directed
  • May take on responsibilities of scheduling (Health Information Coordinator)

As a Health Information Coordinator, supporting the Redstone mission will include the following responsibilities:

  • Coordinating data entry of client health information and service documentation into the comprehensive clinical-financial computer system, while assuring compliance with corporate standards and federal, state and local guidelines. 
  • Assists in completion of final audits of clinical and billing records. Assures accurate data entry to create an accurate client bill. Responsible for accurate, timely billing releases and follow up of all reported claim issues.
  • Maintains current and accurate client records through use of computer laptops and paper/chart documentation in accordance with corporate policies, federal, state, and local guidelines. Follows protocols in all areas of the computer system, understands other parts of the system and provides assistance to others in related areas as needed.
  • Performs inquiries in the MVP and Navinet system to check eligibility and payment status, as assigned. Manages Notice of Election documents for hospice patients to ensure timely submission to Medicare in collaboration with the billing department.
  • Develops and maintains close working relationships with employees and contracted staff to coordinate transfer and/or editing of clinical and billing information.
  • Participates, as assigned, in the on-call schedule rotations for the following departments: Home Care, Home Health and Hospice.
  • Uses computer system to run reports, using them to evaluate data entry accuracy. Edits or reports problems as needed.

What do I need for this role with Redstone?

  • Certified Nurse Aide certification
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • CPR certification is preferred
  • A valid driver's license is required
  • Working knowledge of office based computer programs; such as Word, and Excel
  • Two (2) years college education (preferred)
  • Two (2) years of medical record or health care billing experience (preferred)
