What will I do as an employee with Redstone?

As a Quality Operations Coordinator, supporting the Redstone mission will include the following responsibilities:

  • Maintain a functional knowledge of other office positions (Health Information Coordinator; Scheduler/Administrative Assistant, etc.) to assist with increased workload, staff absences (scheduled or otherwise), or training coverage needs.
  • Participates in the Manager on Duty Rotation for Home Care.
  • Monitors all clerical support functions to provide coordination of services for Hospice, Home Health and Home Care, including cross training of staff, at the direction of the Director of Quality Operations.
  • Utilizes office software, spreadsheets and data bases to effectively monitor progress of claims or services provided to prepare for billing releases.
  • Responsible for internal monitoring of accounts payable and payroll preparation.
  • Monitors the critical processes of medical records that support regulatory compliance including but are not limited to: QA tools, physician attestations, orders runs, clinical documentation for face to face, certification and recertification and any/all electronic documents for the clinical record.
  • Assists with coordination of workflow for the medical record system to ensure timely completion of filing and within HIPAA requirements.
  • Monitors billing reports submitted by the Home Care department related to new or changes in services. Conducts partial audits of Home Care codes prior to release of month-end close to the billing office for invoice generation.
  • Coordinates management and staff on call schedule for Hospice, Home Health and Home Care. Covers day to day operations and oversight in the absence of the Director of Quality Operations and reports to Executive Director or designee for any appropriate items.
  • Assists with interviews to support the recruitment process for each department. Prepares agendas, material or other documents to assist with in-service training programs, on the-job training, and orientation programs for all staff, at the direction of the Director of Quality Operations.

What do I need for this role with Redstone?

  • A valid Pennsylvania State driver's license in good standing, free of traffic violations as per policy.
  • Prior experience in management with employee supervision and oversight.
  • A Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university. (preferred)
  • One year of experience working in an office. (preferred)
  • The ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, which is generally supplies such as boxes of paper, files, medications, supplies, and forms.
